▒ Supporters of the Church of God

40,000 supporters who moved the whole world at the 2002 Busan Asian Games and at the FESPIC Games have renewed its impressive history at Daegu.

A sporting festival of world young intellects! The 2003 Daegu Summer Universiade has been marked as the largest-ever-scale that total 1,1000 people from 174 countries have participated in the games. The Church of God has carried out well-organized supporting activities during the games and made every effort to make the Universiade a Green Cultural Festival of the world university students.

Before the games, the Church of God staged many promoting events―Love Bazaar, Daegu Family Walking Festival, Foreign Language Volunteers Contest and Supporters Contest, wishing for the success of Daegu Summer Universiade and those events have been the steppingstones of the successful Universiade.

The cheering fervor of 90,000 Aurah Supporters has animated stadiums throughout the games. Besides the supporting activities at stadiums, they've helped their foreign friends as being 'Phone Supporters,' 'Culture Supporters' and 'Foreign Language Supporters.' Aurah Supporters will always stay right next to world athletes, sharing sincere friendship and love with them.

Aurah Supporters of the Church of God
: 'Aurah' is Korean and it means 'come' in English. So it literally means, "Come to Korea full of love." As you can assume from the watchword of the supporters, the Church of God's supporters wish to deliver sincere love to all the athletes and staffs who visit Korea.

▒ Organizations of Aurah Supporters

Ⅰ. Aurah Supporters
Aurah Supporters brought a new trend to stadiums where various international events were held. At both Busan Asian Games and Busan FESPIC Games, the Church of God's supporters sent a peace and reconciliation message to the world.
'Aurah' means 'Come.' The Aurah supporters greet people with their arms wide opened, saying, "Come to Korea full of love!"

Ⅱ. Phone Supporters
One of the most difficult problems for the participants of Universiade would be language barrier. Most foreigners face language problems in stadiums, restaurants, public transportation and even on the roads.
In order to help people suffering from language barrier, Aurah Supporters has opened phone interpretation service.

Ⅲ. Culture Supporters
In Korea, there are various cultural heritages－intangible cultural properties, tangible cultural properties and Korean Folk's Villages－through which foreigners can experience the breath of Korean history.
Through a traditional wedding anyone can be a beautiful bridegroom or a bride and can also taste the flavor of Korea by trying Korean traditional food.
Culture Supporters provide special opportunities to make a precious memory to the world's youths.

Ⅳ. Foreign Language Supporters
As it is a large scale event that invites 174 countries' people from the five continents and six oceans, various languages and cultures have also gathered together in one place. For the participants not good at speaking English, they might be in trouble. However, Foreign Language Supporters who can speak French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese and Russians have solved their problem.

Ⅴ. Campus Life Supporters
Through the Daegu Universiade, the youths have extended their visions and dreams. As it is a festival for university students, Aurah Supporters has prepared a precious program to experience Korean university students' campus life.
By experiencing Korean campus, students from the four corners of the world have shared Korean students' ambition, passion and even their agonies. Campus Life Supporters have invited university students of the world to green campus filled with youths' dream and passion.

Ⅵ. Bible Study Supporters
Do you want to receive God? Here is the Church of God full of God's love.
The Church of God has restored the faith and truths of the Early Church and keeps the Passover and the Sabbath of the new covenant which were abolished during the Dark Ages. A total 480,000 members all over the world promote the last religious reformation.
Do you know the Passover of the new covenant which Jesus established through His body and blood to give us eternal life?
Do you know why God created men and women when he made human in his own image?
Do you know the salvation work being worked out in Korea, the end of the earth in the East?

▒ Activities of Aurah Supporters

I. Greeting and Encouraging each team
-Welcome ceremony at arrival, and farewell ceremony at departure
-Open dinner party for teams in order to encourage them
-Daegu city tour guide and interpretation work
-Deliver souvenirs at departure and maintain nongovernmental relationship
II. Leading Cheers at Stadiums
-Sitting on appointed seats, the Aurah Supporters have led audiences in cheering by using various cheering instruments like big flags, hand flags and balloons. They've also printed cheering slogans and handed them out to people to induce them to cheer.
