Team Presented a Plaque of Thanks to the Church of God
"Thank you, Country of Mother!"
All the youth of the world spread their dreams at the Daegu Summer Universiade.
Afghanistan athletes also flew to Korea from far away to realize their
dream, bearing the scars of war. Because of their country's poor economy,
they couldn't prepare their own judo suits. Aurah Supporters, who felt
sorry to hear that, delivered them 2 official judo uniforms on August
25. Then, they guided them for city tour.

All the schedules were finished and on September 3, at 11 a.m., they
were going through their departure procedures at Daegu International Airport.
Before
leaving Korea, Team Director Abdul Hakim (Vice President of Kabul University
Reconstruction Committee) delivered a plaque of thanks to Pastor Pyo Gi-sahng
from the Church of God and said, "I love you. We love Korean people.
Your warm kindness was special. You made us an unforgettable memories.
We earnestly hope you visit Afghanistan, and when you come we will welcome
you cordially."
The judo players said they felt safe whenever they thought of supporters,
though they didn't get a good result. While taking commemorative photos,
Azizi Hymayoun spoke in Korean over and over, "Thank you, Country
of Mother!"
Ghalib Najibullah wished to meet again, saying, "Thanks to your
kindness I'm going back with only good memories. I was lucky to come to
Korea. I hope and believe we will meet again with joy."
One of foreign language supporters, who grew intimate with them through
a short meeting, hurried from Ulsan City to send them off. "I couldn't
stay home in the thought that I might not see them again." Until
the athletes disappeared from her sight, she wave her hands toward them.
